So long anonymity

Actual conversation this afternoon while ordering our new telephone for our upcoming move:

Her: "Are you owning or renting?"
Me: "Renting"
"Do you have the names of the landlords?"
"Yes. [Gave names]. Do you need me to spell the last name?"
"No," she laughed, "we have one of those working here in the office. Your occupation?"
"Teacher."
"Is this at the high school?"
"Yes."
"Are you the new math teacher?"
"I guess my reputation precedes me."
